The stakes are high. Central Government through the organisation CERA is now running the rebuild from Wellington. Cantabrians feel out of the loop, as their city tumbles around them in the name of ‘the rebuild’. The use of Beltona (resonating guitar), declaims itself with short licks and slides over a low textured synth pad, casting a shadow over our characters lives, and emphasising the unease at the way power is being executed in this new political landscape. Toward the end of the cue the vulnerable strings return to reinforce the rawness of feeling in the community.
